Privacy Policy Information regarding the purposes, the grounds as well as the principles of processing of personal data in the course of business activity of the ITCorner Association have been presented within the hereby Privacy Policy.

Who is the personal data controller?

The Controller of personal data is the ITCorner Association with its registered seat in Wrocław, 7 Podwale Street (50-043 Wrocław), NIP (Tax Identification Number): 894-30-50-085, hereinafter referred to as „Association”.

The source and method of data collection

Personal data are gathered on the basis of information passed to the members of the Associations, in particular, in the framework of the submitted membership declaration and in the course of participation in the activities of the Association, as well as through participation in the events organized by the Association (among others, meetings, conferences, meet-ups, contests), contact with the representatives of the Association and automated storing of cookies files during visits on the websites.

For which purpose and on what basis are personal data processed?

Personal data are processed:

1) in the scope necessary for the execution of agreement or for undertaking actions aimed at its conclusion (art. 6 par. 1 letter b GRDP), in order to:

2) Provide services towards persons participating in the events organized by the Association, including making reservations and purchases of tickets for the events, registering for conferences, servicing payments and contacting on matters related to the execution of agreement,

3) conduct of recruitment process.

4) pursuant to the legally justified interest of the controller (art. 6 par. 1 letter f of GRDP), in order to:

5) realize statutory objectives of the Associations, including the execution of rights and obligations stemming from the Statute towards members of the Association,

6) contact, in particular by means of the contact form available on the website,

7) learn the preferences of users visiting the website, detect bots and errors for statistical and direct marketing purposes,

8) potentially establish and pursue claims or protect against them,

9) with regards to the cookies files-for the purpose of adjusting the advertisements on the website, including profiling and for analytical purposes. pursuant to the granted consent (art. 6 par. 1 letter a GRDP), in order to:

  • participate in the procedure of verification and acceptance of new members of the Association,
  • send marketing and commercial information on the activities of the Association, including the organized events, conferences, meet-ups, contests etc.
  • publish photographs from events on the websites of the Association and in social media.

Consent may be withdrawn at any time, without it having an impact on the compliance with law of the processing prior to the withdrawal.

Is indication of personal data voluntary?

Indication of personal data is voluntary, however, non-indication may result in non-acceptance of a given person as a member of the Association or lack of possibility for him to participate in the events organized by it. Indication of personal data for the purpose of receiving messages on the activities of the Association, publication of photographs and data gathered under the cookies files are voluntary.

What are cookies files and why are they gathered?

Cookies files are IT data which contain automated information gathered in the course of a visit by a given user on a website, which encompass, among others, IP address, data on the used browser, URL address of the website visited previously by a user (referral link), information regarding the transmission and reports on potential errors. Such data are stored on the device by means of which the user views the content of internet websites. Cookies files are used for the purpose of adjusting the content of a given website to the preferences of persons who visit it, creating statistics and analysing the behaviours of users, as well as additional material designated for administering the server. The Association uses Google LLC tools such as Google Analytics in order to trace the activities and create statistics. Cookies files may be used by advertising networks, in particular the Google network, for displaying of advertisements adjusted to the manner in which a user uses a given website. For this purpose, they may preserve information regarding the navigation paths of users or their times of stay on a given website. The User may change the settings concerning access and storage of cookies files by means of the browser settings or end device settings, through which he or she browses the content of websites.

How long will we be processing personal data?

Personal data of members of the Association will be processed for a period of their membership in the Association, and post resignation of a given member-for a period necessary to fulfil the obligations stemming from the provisions of law in order to ensure the accountability of the Association’s activities. Personal data of the participants of events organized by the Association will be processed for the period of providing a given service and after its completion, for a period required by the provisions of law (among others, for accounting and bookkeeping purposes) or until the time of expiry of the period of limitation for potential claims or submission of justified objection against the processing. Personal data of Users are gathered in cookie files for marketing purposes or pursuant to the consent of a given subject of data whose data will be processed until withdrawal of consent for such processing or submission of a justified objection.

The Recipients of data

Personal data are passed onto the entities which provide services towards the Association, providers of IT services, hosting services, marketing services, whilst the entrusting occurs solely in the scope and for the purposes specified by the Association, pursuant to the agreement on entrusting of the processing of personal data. Data may also be prepared for the entities authorized to obtain them pursuant to the provisions of the law.

Handover of data outside of EEA

Personal data in some cases will be passed on to the recipients outside of the European Economic Area who provided services for the Association, including Google LLC, Automattic Incl, Atlassian Inc., Slack Technologies, Inc. and to the Microsoft group on the basis of adequate legal safeguards which are the standard contractual clauses of personal data protection, approved by the European Commission.

The rights of personal data subjects

Persons whose personal data are processed by the Association are entitled to the right to: Withdrawal consent for the processing of data-at any time, without indicating the cause; the right of access to personal data-the right to obtain specific information on the processing of personal data, as well as obtaining copies of data, the right to demand amendment of personal data-the right to demand correcting or supplementing invalid data, the right to demand removal of personal data-the so called right to be forgotten, in a situation when the processing is no longer justified in light of the provisions of law, the right to demand limiting the processing of personal data-the right to demand limiting the processing only for the storage or for other operations performed on data, until the justified causes cease to exist, the right to express objection against the processing-due to specific situation of a given person, who is the data subject if such data are processed for marketing purposes, the right to transfer personal data-the right to obtain data records in a structured format, in the scope in which data are processed in relation to the concluded agreement or the granted consent. Each person who considers the processing of data they are subject of as breaching the provisions of the processing of personal data also has the right to submit a complaint to the supervisory authority that is the Chairman of the Office of Personal Data Protection.
