In 2022, during the annual expedition to Gerlach, participants discovered that not only the peak and the goal are important, but also how and with whom it is conquered. You could say that we all conquered it in a unique way. There were difficult moments – weather-wise, physically, emotionally. We walked in two groups – two people + a guide, tied with a rope.
It was late, there was a risk we wouldn’t make it.
We had to make changes to teams an hour before the summit to maximize the likelihood of everyone getting in and out safely.
Ultimately – the peak conquered by Karolina Charewicz-Jakubowska and Daniel Mazurkiewicz!
